If you are on medication for some time, your doctor can make it a repeat item. Some drugs are not suitable for repeat prescribing because they need careful monitoring.
There are four ways you can order a repeat prescription:
- Leave your request in the box at reception. Repeat Prescriptions
- Post it to us with a stamped addressed envelope (takes 5-7 days)
- Ask your pharmacy to get the prescription for you
- Online:We now offer the facility to order repeat prescriptions, and also book or cancel appointments online. These online services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for your convenience. In the interests of confidentiality, you will need to register your interest, and provide ID to ensure that the request is coming from you. This can be done by downloading and completing the practice's registration form. Once you have completed the above form, please bring it to the surgery with ID documents (for details of the ID required, please see the above form).
Please use the printed slip for ordering, or write out your request if you don't have the slip. From time to time your doctor may ask to see you to review your medication.
Please note we cannot allow children under 16 to collect prescriptions for others.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
